Before use

- Do not use your inhaler if the pouch is not sealed or it is damaged – return it to the person who supplied it and get a new inhaler
- Write down the date you opened the pouch on the box label
- Inspect your inhaler
- If your inhaler looks broken or damaged, return it to the person who supplied it and get a new inhaler
- Check the dose counter window states ‘120’
- Do not use a new inhaler if the number shown is less than ‘120’ – return it to the person who supplied it and get a new inhaler
Everyday use
To use your Trimbow inhaler follow the five steps shown here, making sure not to rush yourself.
Step 1 To begin, stand or sit in a comfortable upright position. Hold the inhaler upright, check the number of doses on the dose counter (a number between ‘1’ and ‘120’ shows there are doses left) and open the cover fully. If the dose counter shows ‘0’ there are no doses left – dispose of your inhaler and get a new one. |

Step 2 Breathe out slowly and deeply as comfortable, in order to empty your lungs. Do not breathe out through your inhaler. |
|
Step 3 Place your lips around the mouthpiece, without covering the air vent or inhaling into the air vent. |
|
Step 4 Breathe in forcefully and deeply through your mouth. You may notice a taste or hear or feel a click when taking a dose. |

Step 5 Remove the inhaler from your mouth and hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds or as long as is comfortable and then breathe out slowly. Do not breathe out into the inhaler. |
To take a second dose
Repeat steps 1–5. Take your time: DO NOT REPEAT STEPS 2 TO 5 TOO QUICKLY.
After use
After use, move the inhaler back to the upright position, close the cover fully and check the dose counter. The dose counter should decrease by one with every inhalation.
If you are not sure the dose counter has gone down by one after inhalation, wait until your next scheduled dose and take this as normal. Do not take an extra dose.
Rinse your mouth or gargle with water, without swallowing, or brush your teeth each time you use your inhaler. This is to lower the risk of a fungal infection in the mouth and throat.
Regular cleaning is normally not needed but you can clean it after use with a dry cloth or tissue, not with water or other liquids.
You should get a replacement when the dose counter shows ‘0’, as there are no doses left.
Medicines should not be disposed of via waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
